Project managed a large EU funded anti-corruption national public awareness campaign over 12 months.

Training Journalists in Business Reporting (Bosnia)
Implemented a training programme in business and economic reporting funded by the UK Foreign Office for senior TV, radio and press journalists.

Training Programme for Journalists (London)
Ran a study programme for TV and press journalists from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to raise the role of media in monitoring government programmes.

TV Consultancy
Consulting on start up and undertaking journalists' training for 400 staff at Moscow TV station RTTV (RIA Novosti). RTTV is Russia's 24 hour English language news service broadcast to the west.

Transition to Democracy (Indonesia/UK)
Designed and implemented training programmes in cooperation with PAI for Indonesian print and broadcast media, MPs and NGO representatives. The content covered the role of media and its relationship with governments.

Development of Office of PM. (Kosovo)

A two man team helped implement the Public Information Office of the PM of Kosovo as part of a programme to develop an efficient Cabinet Office.

Media Training for Belarus Journalists (Lithuania)

Design and implementation of a series of media training courses designed to help the delivery of impartial news in Belarus. The workshops were held in Vilnius because of potential danger to the Belarusian participants at home.

Development of Russian Language News Service (Estonia)

A medium term consultancy was undertaken to help develop a broadcast news service in the Russian language, covering the Baltic States and Kaliningrad.

Good Governance Workshop (Latvia)

An Irving consultant provided media expertise and input to UNDP good governance workshops held in Riga.

Economic Development Programme (Ukraine)

Designed and implemented a series of media and communication training courses and seminars for SMEs, Chambers of Commerce and national banks in the Lugansk region of Ukraine.

Media Training (Ukraine) The project involved designing and implementing a series of seminars for journalists on economic reporting. Management and marketing advice was also given to publishing houses and cable TV companies.

Public Awareness Campaign (Macedonia) An awareness and communication campaign was designed for de-centralisation of government in conjunction with FCO Macedonia.

Media Training (Hungary/Poland/Russia)

Design and training of broadcast journalists in general news and reporting skills.

Election Assistance (Montenegro)

Assistance for monitoring of media in fair and independent coverage of national elections.

PBS Post Conflict Assistance (Montenegro)

Assistance in developing factual news and feature programmes in state broadcasting following cessation of hostilities.

Civil Service Reform (Bosnia/Herzegovina)

Provided input over a two year period on developing a civil service communications programme within a larger programme of Civil Service Reform.

HIV/AIDS Media Education (Russia)

Expert worked with established EU HIV programme in education programme for media.

TMK Media Training (Kosovo)

Training in media skills and TV appearances for Kosovo Protection Force officers and commanding General in Pristina.

 

Management of Independent Media Programme (Kosovo)

Irving consultants managed and contributed to a Kosovo wide media programme over a two year period; project included grant awards; training and advice to media managers, journalists; general media training; developing business plans for independent TV stations; design and implementation of business reporting workshops and environmental reporting courses; programme scheduling; management of transmission service; development of regional TV network.
